The Latest Football News and Opinions From 90 Minutes Online

WAGS LYRICAL - Football's most prolific WAGs

If you’re a professional footballer you can make the beast with two backs with any perma-tanned lovely that takes your fancy. Yeah, they may sell their story to the papers, but what's wrong with a written account of your sexual prowess?

A WAGs lot in life is to then use the dubious accolade to eke out a career in the media spotlight which involves wearing very little, going to nightclubs and seeking out yet more footballers.

In homage to these women here we have football’s most prolific WAGs.

Danni Behr

The original and perhaps the best, Behr worked her way through Ryan Giggs, Les Ferdinand and Teddy Sheringham in the mid-nineties.  As her star faded she stepped aside to make way to the young pretenders to the throne she coronated.

Lindsey Dawn Mackenzie

Poor Lindsey didn’t exactly get off to the best start in life. As a 12-year-old I remember The Daily Sport’s countdown until she was 16 and could ‘get’em out’. A few years later I watched a porno in which she starred alongside her recently betrothed husband, plumber Terry Canty. At just 17 she bagged Dean Holdsworth and is currently married to former Rushden and Diamonds centre-back Mark Williams.

Danielle Lloyd

Perhaps the most prolific footballing bedfellow ever, Danielle came into the public consciousness after winning Miss Great Britain and copping off with judge Teddy Sherringham. Since then she has worked her way through Marcus Bent, Armand Traoré, Jermain Defoe, Gerard Piqué and Ryan Babel. The fact that current beau Jamie O’Hara has the temerity to be seen canoodling with her in public, lowers my already low opinion of the man.

Gemma Atkinson

Fit as a fiddle but with a man’s voice, Gemma hasn’t let this stop her pulling a plethora of Premier League strikers. The Manchester-lass has been on the receiving end of shots from Marcus Bent, Alan Smith and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lauren Pope
A friend of a friend of a friend once told me that Lauren used to trawl Devon’s nightclubs on the prowl for Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter City players. Eventually made it to the bright lights of London where she landed Peter Crouch and then Shaun Wright-Phillips, begging the question: what exactly is her ‘type’?
