A big weekend in the Netherlands that saw plenty of goals and many twists and turns at both the top and bottom of the league as table toppers PSV hosted 3rd placed Ajax, and Feyenoord produced a long overdue performance that their fans will have been waiting for all season.
In a weekend of contrasting fortunes for the teams wearing black and white in Italy, Udinese ran riot in Sicily whilst Juve fell to a defeat, at the feet of a familiar face.
As the top four chase this season's title it seems that at least one of them has to slip up each weekend to keep things interesting. And last weekend was no different, as PSV opened up a gap on second placed Twente and FC Groningen left themselves just holding on to the top four.
The fact that last weekend’s draw between Barcelona and Sport Gijon was highlighted as one of the biggest upsets of the campaign so far, was perhaps the most telling sign yet that the race for the title has become... well anything but a race.
