Cardiff went two points clear at the top of the table after beating Norwich 3-1 at home. All the action happened in the first half with all four goals being scored. Brighton extended their lead at the top of the table to six points after a comfortable 2-0 win at Yeovil. The in-form Kazenga LuaLua brilliantly picked out Glenn Murray who headed the Seagulls ahead at the break. Brighton’s second came after a quick thinking free-kick from Marcos Painter found Inigo Calderon on the edge of the area. The Spaniard adjusted himself before firing a low shot into the bottom left hand corner. This win means Brighton are now unbeaten in nine League games.
